FIFA U-17 World Cup~ India had their first practice session

The India U-17s had their first training session ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Cup under the Head Coach Luis Norton de Matos at the Conscient Football ground in Gurugram, Haryana yesterday. Just less than few days left for the commencement of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 they had this session. India will face the United States of America (USA) in the FIFA World Cup hosted by India.

India is placed in Group A of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 along with USA, Colombia and Ghana. At the New  Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 6 the Indian team will play against the USA and will face off  Colombia and Ghana on October 9 and October 12. Earlier in the practice match held in Goa India registered a 3-0 win over Mauritius and with this win the Players morale and spirits are all high.

The All India Football Federation in order to have a strong team provided trips to the India U-17s. The  India U-17s also participated in a Four-Nation Tournament in Mexico alongside hosts Mexico, Chile and fellow Group A team Colombia.

Head Coach Luis Norton Matos  said 'A unique moment is upon us, "It is an amazing moment in Indian Football's history and everyone associated with it should be proud of it."
