DOHA: England plays Senegal on the second day of the last-16 matchups, while France takes on Poland.
Here are a few things to watch out for in Qatar this Sunday:-

1. Who will represent England versus Senegal? Two England sides have competed in this World Cup: one that defeated the Iranians 6-2 and scored three goals in a destructive 45 minutes against the Welsh, and the other that struggled to break down the spirited and well-prepared USA and failed to score in the opening period against the Welsh.

With Senegal set to be a physical challenge, England coach Gareth Southgate must choose whether to keep Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford in his lineup. The outcome of this game could be decided by set pieces or possibly penalties if England is unable to find openings and pass the ball fast between the lines.

2. France is back and blazing hot. After advancing to the knockout stage, France rested nearly their entire starting lineup for their last group encounter. Star players like Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann only entered the game against Tunisia in the dying moments.

On Sunday against Poland, coach Didier Deschamps will start his strongest lineup, featuring Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele, and Olivier Giroud up front, Griezmann in the hole behind them, and Adrien Rabiot in the centre. They should be in good shape and encounter few obstacles on the way to the quarterfinals.

3. Poland needs to adopt a new mentality. It's uncommon to witness a team celebrate a loss, but that's exactly what the Polish team did after their 2-0 defeat to Argentina on Wednesday night, which advanced them to the round of 16.
When it appeared like qualifying between Poland and Mexico might come down to fair play, Poland coach Czeslaw Michniewicz displayed an unbelievable lack of ambition against Argentina, even ordering his players to avoid fouls in the game's final moments in order to avoid receiving yellow cards.

The French won't be affected by yellow cards, but if the Poles decide to defend and leave Robert Lewandowski alone in attack, this match will only have one outcome. And Poland won't fare well in the end.

4. Numerous goal scorers provide hope for Senegal Senegal has adapted admirably to reach the round of 16, scoring goals in Qatar with five different players, despite being devastated by the loss of Sadio Mane prior to the World Cup.
