Kolkata: Voting is going on in 45 seats in 6 districts under the fifth phase of elections in West Bengal. The seats which are going to vote today include 15 seats of North 24 Parganas. With this, the fate of the party candidates will be decided in Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, and Kalimpong, which are considered to be BJP's strongholds. Voting is also going on in 9 seats of Nadia.

Meanwhile, reports of clashes between TMC and BJP workers are coming from Nadia. A heavy security force has been deployed on the spot after the incident was reported. At the same time, the incident of beheading two BJP agents has come to light in Burdwan district. The injured have been admitted to Burdwan Medical College Hospital. According to the information, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) agent was barred from entering the booth at the number 72 booth of Saraitikuri in Burdwan North assembly constituency. After which this incident took place in the violence. The party has accused the Trinamool Congress of this. However, there is no response from TMC at the moment.

Along with this, a crude bomb has been allegedly thrown at the Meenakhan booth in West Bengal. TMC has accused the ISF cadre of throwing bombs. If seen on a geographical basis, the decision of 13 seats in North Bengal is to be decided in this phase, which is being seen as a BJP stronghold. On the other hand, the seats of South Bengal are dominated by Trinamool Congress (TMC). CPM may also show strength in some seats in South Bengal.
