Fight 'Bronchitis' with these simple tips !

Winter, is the time of year when people seems to be more prone to respiratory ailments like bronchitis. Bronchitis is when the lining of the bronchial tubes become inflamed. Bronchitis can be minor, but it can become severe and even life-threatening.

Here's what you can do to treat bronchitis at home.

1. Water

Drinking 1 glass of water every 2 hours can help by thinning the mucus and opening the bronchial tubes.

2. Steam

Simply leaning over a bowl of steam with a few drops of eucalyptus oil has amazing results. Eucalyptus is an anti-bacterial that helps to soften the mucus.

3. Cayenne pepper

Cayenne helps to thin the mucus in the lungs and gets all the mucus out of the bronchial tubes.

4. Oregano oil

Oregano oil has anti-bacterial properties and helps in supporting bronchial health.

5. Ginger Tea

Ginger helps fight against common cold. It is an anti-inflammatory immune booster, and helps against bronchitis. Add 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, cinnamon and clove to your tea.

6. Garlic

Garlic is antiviral and is a natural antibiotic. Boil 3 cloves and chopped garlic in 1 glass milk or water and drink before bed.

7. Honey

We have heard this one before, that honey is good for the throat. Just add 1 teaspoon honey to hot tea or hot lemon water in order to treat congestion and inflammation.
