The International Hockey Federation (FIH) suspended the FIH Pro League matches on Saturday, 14 March 2020, until 15 April, citing the Covid-19 epidemic. Nine top hockey teams of the world are participating in this league. FIH gave this information from its headquarters in Lausanne. The Indian team also plays in the FIH Pro League, which is to play Germany in Berlin on April 25-26 in the next match. India's men's hockey team has played its doubleheader matches against three countries Netherlands, Belgium and Australia at home in the FIH Pro League so far.

These changes can happen if IPL will happen this time

According to reports, FIH said that it has made this decision based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), information and decisions taken by governments and local authorities of many countries across the world. FIH said that all matches of the FIH Hockey Pro League being played by the International Hockey Federation and all participating national associations have been suspended till April 15 with immediate effect.

FIH Pro League made it clear that none of its matches will happen after the Tokyo Olympics. The situation will be reviewed before every match of the FIH Pro League and the permission of the government of the country in which these matches will take place will be taken. All matches of FIH Pro League will be played at the end of April before the Olympics.
