Fiji: For the fully vaccinated travellers from travel partner countries such as New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the Fiji government has eased its border requirements. According to reports, Fiji's Permanent Secretary for Health James Fong said that the island nation's quarantine protocols for international travel have been adjusted to take into account the increased protection gained by having fully vaccinated people travel with other fully vaccinated people to highly vaccinated destinations.

According to James Fong, less stringent conditions will be used, with a higher premium placed on testing techniques that assure early detection and isolation of positive travellers. This will entail a three-day stay at a hotel, followed by a test on the second day. On day three, if the test results are negative, the patient will be released into the community. According to Fong, all travellers arriving from travel partner countries will be transitioned from Border Quarantine Protocols to Border Risk Reduction Protocols beginning Thursday.

Diplomats, returning Fiji residents, permit holders, and anyone recognised by the COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Taskforce will be able to travel in from Thursday. The Border Risk Reduction Protocol Processes will be tested and enhanced throughout this time, according to Fong, in readiness for the commencement of tourist arrivals in Fiji on December 1.
