The suspense thriller film Ittefaq is remaking with star cast Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha. The original star cast of the film was Rajesh Khanna and Nanda.

The film will be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Production and BR Films jointly.

Recently Sidharth talked about the film, "It is an adaptation and not a direct remake of Ittefaq .There are changes made to the story so it reduces the pressure of filling in the shoes of a mega and huge superstar like Rajesh Khanna ji."

The actor added, "I am very excited about doing this film. I am a big fan of him and his films. One film of his that I have liked the most is Anand."

According to Sid, the film will bring the era of mystery thriller film back, "It is a genre one hasn’t seen in a while. I haven’t done murder mystery so I am looking forward to it."

Next month, the film will go on floors in Mumbai. This is the first collaboration of Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha on silver screen.
