The year 2020 took many stars with it. According to the recent news, veteran Odia filmmaker Raj Gopal Mishra has passed away. He died of a heart attack on Monday. The family sources have given information about this. Raj Gopal Mishra was 72 years old and at this age, he has said goodbye to the world. According to sources, he had chest pain and was at his residence at Jatani near Bhubaneswar.

He died shortly after the pain. Raj Gopal Mishra was an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and he settled in everyone's hearts by directing a large number of blockbuster films in his career of almost three decades. He had created a special identity in the industry.

He was rich in versatility. He was honoured with the prestigious Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra Award last month for his invaluable contribution to the Odia film industry. The popular filmmaker Raju Mishra was also honoured with the prestigious Jaydev Award. After knowing about the demise of Raj Gopal Mishra, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Petroleum and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and many other dignitaries have mourned and expressed their condolences to the bereaved family.
