New Delhi: Political turmoil in the country has increased considerably over the past few years, while Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has arrived to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has visited the Speaker's house and met him. Union Ministers of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad and Pankaj Chaudhary were also present with him. It is said that this led to talks between Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on a number of issues.
On the occasion, the Speaker expressed hope that the Finance Ministry led by Nirmala Sitharaman will play a key role in the development of the country. Several other Cabinet Ministers will also meet the Lok Sabha Speaker today. The ministers include Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi, Energy Minister Rajkumar Singh. Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal will also visit the Lok Sabha this evening to meet the Speaker.
The matter had just expanded to the Modi government's cabinet. While 15 Ministers including Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sarbananda Sonowal, Anurag Thakur, Kiren Rijiju, Hardeep Singh Puri have been included in the Union Cabinet, 28 have been made Ministers of State. Jyotiraditya Scindia, who joined the party last year, also got the status of cabinet minister while Pashupati Paras of LJP was also sworn in as cabinet minister in the Modi government. Similarly, Ashwini Vaishnav, Raj Kumar Singh were sworn in as ministers.
