New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had tweeted a tweet in the past on the privatization of banks. In the same tweet, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given a reply last Tuesday. In his reply, he said, "In the era of the Congress-led UPA government, telephone banking was done and privatization of taxpayer's money and corruption was nationalized for the benefit of a family.'' Rahul Gandhi, while supporting the bank union's strike against the privatization of banks, tweeted, "The government is privatizing the profit and nationalizing the deficit.''

Not only that, but he also accused the government of contracting Modi's closed one to public sector banks and said, "The government is seriously compromising the financial security of the country." When asked questions in this regard at a press conference held last day, the finance minister said, "His grandmother Indira Ji nationalized the banks, but the losses of the banks were nationalized in the UPA period. Corruption was nationalized in the UPA era.''

He also said, "We want to discuss with them in serious matters, but their attitude is different. Suddenly, they have started worrying about profit and loss. Everybody knows that for many decades his government has been trying to privatize taxpayer's money.'' At the same time, he challenged Rahul in his statement and said, "They should leave such things and be ready for a debate on these issues."

In the conference, the finance minister also clarified that the government's aim is not only to privatize the banks but also to ensure the development of public-private banks and the interests of their employees. Whether it is the pension of the employees or their salaries. At the same time, he also said, "The intention of the Government is not to privatize all public sector banks. Some government banks are performing very well and some are ok. There is no doubt that these banks have to play a very important role.''
