Dehradun: The last rites of late Finance Minister Prakash Pant will be held in Pithoragarh today with full state honours. Pant's body will arrive in New Delhi from a special aircraft from the US. From there, special air ambulances will be brought to the Jaliygrant airport in the morning. The mortal remains will be kept for two hours at the SDRF building near the airport.

As per the information received from sources, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, BJP National Co-General secretaryShiv Prakash, state president Ajay Bhatt, government ministers and Harish Rawat, Pritam Singh and other senior leaders and people will pay last respect. The mortal remains of the body will be taken to Pithoragarh.

With this, the chief minister, the Co-General secretary organisation and other leaders including the state president will leave for Pithoragarh. Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh, Human Resources Minister Dr. Nishank and Pradesh in-charge Shyam Jaju, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baloney will arrive in Pithoragarh from New Delhi directly. In his last visit, union Defence minister Rajnath Singh, union HRD Minster Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, BJP national vice-president Shyam Jaju, Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, state president Ajay Bhatt, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baloney among many of the state government Ministers, party MPs, MLAs and party officials will be involved.
