UP: First FIR registers in Bareilly for 'Love Jihad'

In Uttar Pradesh, the Governor has approved the Unlawful Religion Ordinance. The first case under it has been registered in Bareilly today. The first case that has come up in Bareilly is that of 'Love Jihad'. Here the first FIR has been filed under the new law on the charge of Love Jihad. Police say that a lawsuit has been filed under Section 3 of the Prohibition of Prevention of Religion Act 3/5 in Deorania, Bareilly police station on charges of love jihad.

In this case, the man has been accused of forcibly converting. The accused in this case is now being absconding from home. It is being told that a young man named Ubais has been accused of luring the girl to convert. The ordinance passed by the Uttar Pradesh government was approved by Governor Anandiben Patel on Saturday. This law came into force in UP. After the enactment of this law, the first case in Bareilly has been registered under this. The police is engaged in the arrest of the accused in this case.

In the order passed in UP, action will be taken on the conversion of religion through illegal means. According to the information received, after Governor Anandiben Patel approved this ordinance, it has taken legal form and it will have to be passed by the state government to the assembly within 6 months.
