New Delhi: FIR has been lodged against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and the party's national spokesperson Raghav Chadha for making baseless allegations against UP CM Yogi Adityanath. This FIR has been lodged by an advocate in Noida Sector-20 Kotwali adjoining Delhi late last night (Saturday-Sunday).

The filing of the FIR has been confirmed by the complainant Prashant Umrao, the complainant himself, on Sunday morning. Prashant Umrao is originally a resident of Uttar Pradesh and currently resides in Karkaduma area of East Delhi district. He has filed complaints under various sections. According to complainant advocate Prashant Umrao, who lodged an FIR at Noida Kotwali police station at around 2.30 am, Section 505 (2) is non-bailable. There is a provision of jail sentence of up to 3 years. While Section 500 is defamation. This is bailable, but if proved to be an offense, then it also has a provision of two years of imprisonment, whereas under Section 66 of the IT Act, it can be imprisoned for three years.

The complainant said that AAP leader Raghav Chadha, who was recently elected MLA from Rajendra Nagar assembly seat, is also the national spokesperson of the party. Raghav had posted on his Twitter handle on Sunday night, in which he directly tried to defame him by taking the name of UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
