New Delhi: An FIR has been lodged against Yuvraj Singh, former India cricketer and part of the World Cup-winning team, for 'racist remarks' during an Instagram live session from 2020 in Haryana. A lawyer from Hisar in Haryana filed a police complaint against Yuvraj for racist remarks. Hansi police station in Hisar has registered a case under sections 153, 153A, 295, 505 of IPC besides sections 3 (1) (r) and 3 (1) (3) of SC / ST Act. The 'racist remarks' by Yuvraj were reportedly made during a live chat on Instagram with Team India opener Rohit Sharma. During the chat, Yuvraj used the word 'B *** G' to refer to Indian spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Yuvraj was trolled on social media for his derogatory comments.

Yuvraj told Rohit in relation to Chahal's Tiktok video, "This is not the work of 'b *** g' people, Yuzvendra and Kuldeep."
