Kolkata: A case has been filed against BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari and his brother in Kanthi, West Bengal. The case has been registered against the officer following a complaint by the TMC under the information received in the case. In that complaint, the party has alleged that the officer and his brother had stolen relief material from the municipality. You must be seeing that after the end of assembly elections in West Bengal, there has been tension between the opposition BJP and the ruling TMC.

Suvendu Adhikari, who left the TMC and joined BJP before the elections, had shown Mamata Banerjeeanerjee the face of defeat from Nandigram seat. After the assembly elections were over, differences between the state and the Centre came to light when Mamata did not attend prime minister Narendra Modi's meeting on Cyclone Yaas. After the meeting, the Central Government had transferred West Bengal Chief Secretary Alpan Bandyopadhyay to Delhi. Alapan resigned from the post even before he left for Delhi.

After all this, Mamata Banerjee made Alpan her chief advisor. Even after receiving a response from Alpan, the Centre is not retreating. According to some sources, the Central government may take any action against Alpan. As per the information received at present, the Union Home Ministry has beefed up the security of Shishir Adhikari, father of Suvendu adhikari and brother Divyendu Adhikari, only after the election results are out. The Ministry has announced the security of Y Plus (Y+) category to both the MPs.
