UDUPI: In connection with the suicide of a contractor and BJP leader Santhosh K. Patil, the Karnataka Police have filed a complaint under IPC Sections 34 and 306 against K.S. Eshwarappa, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.

Minister Eshwrappa and his two accomplices have been charged, according to Inspector General of Police (West) Deva Jyothi Ray. The police have begun the panchanama (a legal document that details evidence and findings made by an officer at the scene of a crime) process. He stated that it is being done in the presence of family members.

All possible digital and circumstantial evidence would be gathered on the spot. A case of unnatural death had been filed previously, and a suicide case had been filed after the FIR. "We'll investigate from every angle," he stated.

Prashanth Goudappa Patil, the deceased contractor's brother, had filed a complaint in which Eshwarappa was designated as the main defendant. Basavaraj, Ramesh, and Eshwarappa's aides are the second and third defendants in the case, respectively.

The police have filed a complaint under IPC 34 (criminal conduct committed by a group of people with a common goal) and IPC 306 (criminal act committed by a group of people with a common goal) (abetment to suicide).
