New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has registered a case against nine people, including former BJP national spokesperson Nupur Sharma, who was embroiled in a controversy for her remarks on Prophet Mohammad. The FIR has been registered by the cyber unit of the Special Cell. All these people are accused of spoiling the atmosphere by making derogatory remarks against different religions. Apart from Nupur Sharma, the cyber unit has registered a case against former BJP spokesperson Naveen Kumar Jindal, Shadab Chauhan, Saba Naqvi, and Maulana Mufti Nadeem, Abdul Rehman, Gulzar Ansari, Anil Kumar Meena and Pooja Shakun. The police are now investigating the case.

It is noteworthy that Nupur Sharma had made indecent remarks about Prophet Mohammad in a TV debate. After this, a ruckus had arisen. Even Arab countries criticized Nupur Sharma's remarks. However, BJP has suspended Nupur Sharma from the party. Issuing a letter by BJP, it has been said that such remarks are against the basic idea of ​​BJP. Nupur Sharma has apologized for her statement after being suspended from the party. She said that I take back my words and I did not intend to hurt anyone, if my words have hurt anyone's religious sentiments, then I take back my words.

However, even after apologizing, Nupur Sharma is being threatened by the fundamentalists of beheading and gang rape, after which Delhi Police has given protection to Nupur Sharma. Nupur Sharma had complained to the Delhi Police that she and her family were being threatened with death. After this, the Delhi Police started the investigation by registering a case. Along with this, Delhi Police had decided to increase the security of Nupur Sharma and her family.
