FIR lodged against Congress for portraying Modi as Ravana in Controversial poster

Amethi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Jan 16 (NI): An FIR has been lodged against Congress leader Rama Shankar Shukla for an alleged poster which portraying Congress President Rahul Gandhi as Lord Rama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Ravana appeared Amethi district in Uttar Pradesh during Rahul visit.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Surya Prakash Tiwari has filed The FIR against Rama Shukla.

The poster was noticed at the Gauriganj railway station on December 14, a day before Rahul's Amethi visit to the city.

While the district Congress party denied holding up the poster.

A poster showing Rahul as Ram and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Ravana has aired a controversy following the Gandhi’s scion visit because The message on the poster touts: "Rahul roop mein bhagwan Ram ka avatar, 2019 mein ayega Rahul Raj. (Rahul is the incarnation of Lord Ram; Rahul Raj will be seen in 2019)." While Another poster depicts Congress President Rahul as Lord Krishna with a message: "Sangharsh se Vijay ki or chal diye maharathi.(the warrior has begun the journey)."

 Gandhi’s scion Rahul is the Member of Parliament (MP) from Amethi, which is the pocket region constituency of the grand old party Congress. (NT)
