Lucknow: Saurabh Singh, who is contesting on a Samajwadi Party (SP) ticket in Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh, seems to be facing rising difficulties. In fact, three people, including Saurabh Singh, who is contesting from Vishwanathganj seat, have been booked under several serious sections including dowry harassment, and assault. These allegations against Saurabh Singh have been levelled by his wife, the wife says that Saurabh has also tried to burn her alive.

SP leader Saurabh Singh's wife alleged that Saurabh used to torture her father Sanjay Singh and his mother for dowry and beat them up every day. If the demand for dowry is not fulfilled, he has also tried to burn her alive twice. She is fed up with daily torture and could be murdered any day. The inspector in-charge of Lalganj, in this case, said, "Saurabh Singh's wife has alleged that her husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law harass her for dowry, alleged that she was tried to burn alive and assaulted, based on the complaint, a case has been registered and further legal proceedings have been initiated."

The case has been registered on the complaint of Saurabh Singh's wife Sunaina Singh Sengar. Sunaina is said to be very special about sp chief Akhilesh Yadav's family. It is said that it was Sunaina who got her husband Saurabh Singh a ticket from the SP. Sunaina had arrived with her brother and her three-year-old son to meet Superintendent of Police Satpal Antil in the morning with a complaint of assault on April 20. Sunaina, who reached home after meeting the SP, alleged that she was assaulted and tried to burn alive. At the moment, the police are investigating the case.
