Barwani: Following the clashes in Barwani in Madhya Pradesh on April 10, the police have registered an FIR against three persons on charges of rioting and arson. The special thing is that these three criminals have been lodged in jail since March 11, a month ago. After the violence on the day of Ram Navami, the district administration has also demolished several houses and one of them belongs to Shahbaz, who has been lodged in jail since March 11. The three booked for setting two motorcycles on fire after the clashes have been identified as Shahbaz, Fakru and Rauf.

A complaint was lodged against the same trio on March 5 in a case of an attempt to murder under Section 307 of the IPC. The special thing is that a case of rioting has been registered in the same police station where a case of attempt to murder was registered. The SP of Barwani district had addressed a press conference on March 11 that the three, who were booked under Section 307, were arrested on charges of firing on a man named Sikander on March 5. All three have been in prison since then.

The Barwani police have no answer as to how the three already in jail can carry out riots and arson. Police officer Manohar Singh said, "At present, the police are saying that we will investigate the case. He said that based on the complaint of a person named Rajesh Tayal, a case was registered against the three jailed criminals.'' Shahbaz's mother Sagina, who is already lodged in the same jail, has alleged that her house was ransacked after the clashes and a notice was given to her. "Police came and ransacked some parts of our house. When the police received the information that my son, whom they have accused of arson and rioting, is already in jail, the police took my younger son to jail.''
