Secunderabad: A fire broke out at a showroom of an electric scooter in Telangana's Secunderabad city at midnight on Monday. Due to this fire and smoke reached the upper floors of the building. Due to this, 8 people lost their lives due to suffocation and burns. In this building was the Hotel Ruby Pride, which accommodated 25 guests. All the people who died were from this hotel. Apart from this, some persons were admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Meanwhile, news has been received that the overcharging of the electric scooter could also be the reason for the accident. In such a situation, it is a warning incident not to leave any electronic device on charging for a long time. Let us tell you that one such incident has also come to light in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where a girl child died due to the explosion of a mobile on charging. 

Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said that the smoke from the fire below had reached the top through the stairs. The 23 rooms on the top 4 floors belonged to the hotel. Guests staying on the first and second floors died of suffocation. Anand said that it is also being investigated whether the overcharging of the electric scooter caused the accident. Deputy commissioner Chandana Deepti said, ''We do not know whether the incident happened due to overcharging and from there the entire building caught fire and smoke spread. At present, this matter is being investigated.''

Officials said that when the fire broke out, the water fountains in the building were closed and not working. It is also being investigated why this happened. Telangana Home Minister Mohammad Mehboob Ali has expressed condolences over the death of the deceased. The state government has announced an assistance of Rs 3 lakh to the families of the deceased. Apart from this, it has been said that an assistance of Rs 2 lakh has been given by the Central Government. Expressing grief over the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself announced help.
