The last 12 hours have been a great relief for the forest ministry in the case of forest fires. According to the Fire Bulletin issued by the Forest Ministry, a total of 7 cases of forest fire were reported and about 2.88 hectares of forest area were affected. This is the lowest case of Vanagni in April.
A fierce fire broke out in the forests of New Tehri late in the night. This fire started spreading in the one-hectare forest. The forest department team arrived at the information to extinguish the fire.

According to forest ministry officials, a total of 6 cases of forest fires have been surveyed in the Garhwal division and one in the Kumaon division on Saturday. Not a single case came up in the reserved forest area in Kumaon. A total of four cases occurred in the reserved forest area of the Garhwal division. This is the lowest loss ever recorded in April. A total of 757 cases of Vanagni were reported in the last 9 days and an area of 1188 hectares was affected by forest fires. The Forest Ministry believes that it has become possible due to the control of active fire cases and the absence of new cases.

The Forest Ministry estimates that if there is no rain for two to three days, many more cases may come up again. Rainfall is forecast again from April 12, and if the cases of fire are controlled in two days, then control over the loss can be found to a great extent. Chief Conservator of Forests, Rajiv Bharti, says that vigilance is being exercised regarding the cases of Vanagni. The division is engaged in monitoring at the level of forest officers, and nodal officers have also been asked to inspect the crew stations.
