NEW DELHI:  Fire broke out in a DIMTS cluster bus on the Zakhira Flyover in Delhi on Sunday evening, said the officials from the Delhi Fire Services. The fire was reported at 7:30 PM, and two fire trucks were dispatched to the scene. It took about 30 minutes to extinguish the flames.

The Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System Limited (DIMTS) oversees and manages these cluster buses. Although the bus was carrying passengers at the time, everyone managed to escape without injury.

The Delhi Traffic Police advised commuters to avoid the area due to the fire, which caused significant traffic disruptions on New Rohtak Road from Kamal T-Point towards Punjabi Bagh. The traffic police communicated the situation on social media to help alleviate congestion.

A rescue team was promptly deployed to the scene, and no injuries were reported. Traffic was diverted to manage the situation effectively. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
