Shimla: A dangerous explosion took place inside the powerhouse located at the foot of NHPC Phase II in the Sainj city of Kullu city of the country's state of Himachal Pradesh. The fire broke out in the powerhouse after the blast early Thursday, and the chaos broke out. Due to the smoke in the powerhouse, two engineers of NHPC got sick due to suffocation. He is immediately admitted to the hospital.

In this accident, the burn of many modern machines is likely to result in a loss of crores. Electricity generation has also come to a complete standstill. Currently, the fire has been controlled. The fire broke out in the second floor of the powerhouse around five in the morning. Machines of state-of-the-art technology to produce the electricity of the project were placed on this floor. At present, project management has sealed the powerhouse. The newly built powerhouse had a single turbine operating.

Meanwhile, 10 new cases of corona including two apple traders have come up in Shimla district of the state on Wednesday. All positive patients are being shifted to Covid Care Center Mashobra. This has been confirmed by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Surekha Chopra. Two employees, including a clerk, have been found positive at the Secretariat in Shimla. A clerk of B Branch of the Chief Minister's office in the Secretariat has also been found to be Corona positive. Earlier, the report of the Deputy Secretary of the Chief Minister's office has come positive. According to the information, the employee found infected has been coming to the branch till 27 July.
