One of reliable car maker company Nissan is bringing back over 793,000 small SUVs in the United States and Canada because water can get into wiring and cause a fire in rare cases.

Nissan Rogue SUVs from the model years 2014 to 2016 are included in the recalling list. Nissan's Rogue is the company's best-selling vehicle in the United States. Water and salt can infiltrate a wire connector in the driver's foot well, causing corrosion, according to a report from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Corrosion may malfunction the driver's power window or seat, flash the all-wheel-drive warning light, and drain the battery. Nissan has seven complaints of fires or "thermal accidents," according to government data released on Wednesday. Customers who detect the symptoms, smell a burning smell, or see smoke should park their vehicles outside and call Nissan Roadside Assistance to have them towed to a dealer, according to Nissan.

The recall came after a July 2020 probe by Canadian safety regulators. Nissan says it is working on a solution and expects it in the spring. In March, owners will get an interim notice letter and will be informed when to send their Rogues to a dealer for servicing.
