Amritsar:Santokh Singh Sukh, father of Big Boss fame and Punjabi film actress Shahnaz Gill (Shehnaaz Gill), is reported to have been shot at. The incident took place on Saturday evening in Jandiyala Guru area of Amritsar. In a statement to the police, Santokh Singh said that the incident took place when his security personnel went to the toilet near Dhaba in Gurdaspuria after parked the car on the side. He said that in the meantime two men came riding bikes and stopped near the car. Then they started firing at them. They fired at his car four times.

Santokh Singh was present with the driver in his car at the time of the incident and narrowly escaped the incident. Just two days ago, Santokh Singh joined the BJP. He was on his way to Beas from Amritsar to attend an event on Saturday. He said he fled when his security personnel heard gunshots and threw bricks at the attackers. They then immediately informed the Jandiyala Guru police and a police team rushed to the spot.

He alleged that the police were informed about the incident in time but a case has not been registered so far. In the case, Station House Officer harpreet Singh of Jandiyala Guru Police Station (Jandiala Guru Police Station) said that police have recovered four empty kiosks from the spot. 'After initial investigation, the case was found to be somewhat suspicious and hence further investigation is underway,' the official said, saying his security was recently withdrawn as several criminal cases have been registered against him.
