Mathura: For some time, the police-administration had taken action against the city's 199 people in a peace-breaking incident following a disturbance on 20 December 2019 during a protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act in Firozabad. In the last ten days, 18 people have made bail. The administration has made preparations to clamp down on the remaining 181 people not getting bail. At the same time, warrants will be issued against those who do not get bail from the City Magistrate.

If sources are to be believed, it has been learned that on 20 December 2019, there was a disturbance during the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. In view of the tension in the city, North, South, Ramgarh and Rasulpur police had barred in peace against 199 people along with prominent people of both the community. Out of which action has been taken in Shantibhanga against 124 people living in the South area, two living in North police station area, 63 living in the Rasulpur police station area and about ten people living in Ramgarh area.

Out of 199 people banned by the police, only 18 people have made bail till January 2020. The remaining 181 people have not yet appeared in the city magistrate's court to get their bail. Jahan Municipal Magistrate Kunwar Pankaj Singh said that the people who have not yet filed an answer or have given bail in the case of restriction in Shantibhang. At the same time, bailable warrants have been issued against them.
