As the country fights the horrors of the Covid epidemic, the first cyclonic storm Tauktae of 2021 is adding to the woes. Cyclone Tauktae is constantly becoming dangerous. The impact is visible on 5 States, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are also likely to receive rainfall. Heavy rain has started in Mumbai. Meanwhile, photo videos are being watched from other affected states including Goa. Cyclone Tauktae will hit the Gujarat coast on May 18 and after which it will calm down.
In Kerala, heavy rains and winds have caused heavy damage to houses and other public properties but no major accident has been reported so far. Two persons have been reported killed here. The cyclone and heavy rains in Mumbai have also affected the Battle of Covid. Corona patients from low lying areas have been shifted to safer hospitals here.

According to the Met ministry, Cyclone Tauktae could become a "very severe cyclonic storm" with wind spids of 150 kmph to 160 kmph by May 17. Winds of 60-80 kmph are likely to blow along the coast of Goa and Maharashtra on Sunday.
