On Saturday, First fighter of  Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) Arjan Bhullar made history to win a world title in the sport after beating Brandon Vera to end his five-and-a-half-year reign as the heavyweight champion in the One Championship.

Here it is to be noted that Bhullar registered a second-round technical knockout (TKO) win over Vera to become the country's first-ever MMA world champion. The result saw the Indo-Canadian fighter take his MMA record to 11-1 (4 by knockout, 7 by decision). "We were going to box him up, get in and out range, wrestle him, pressure him, break him. That was the gameplan. I knew I was going to hurt him. I came into the fight the lightest I weighed in. I was ready to go 5 rounds. I am well-trained, guys. I’ve been with the best since day one,” the 34-year-old Bhullar said before revealing his future plans.

However, to be noted that Vera had held the ONE Heavyweight World Championship since December 2015, suffered only his fourth-career defeat since coming into the competition in 2014. The 43-year-old Filipino-American fighter had knocked out each one of his heavyweight opponents in the first round before meeting his match in Bhullar at the Singapore-based tournament.
