Rajkumar Rao is one of the actors whose films are anticipated after his portrayal of versatile characters in the past year with films like Trapped, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Newton among others. The actor also forayed into the world of web content with titular role in the web-series Bose: Dead or Alive.

Rajkumar Rao shared the poster of the film on his twitter handle. He wrote along the picture, “Here’s the official poster of #Omerta. Film releasing on 20th April. Trailer out in two days.” Rajkumar Rao termed this character as the ‘toughest’ one he has played till date. 

The film has been widely acclaimed in the film festival circuit at festivals like Toronto International Film Festival, Busan Film Festival, and Jio MAMI. It is a film on British terrorist of Pakistani descent, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh which has been shot on real locations in London and India.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap also shared the poster and praised the actor-director “courageous duo” of Rajkumar Rao and Hansal Mehta.

“Omertà is not an easy film to pitch, to sell about the most unsympathetic man a very hard character to play on screen and a harder film to make put together by the most courageous duo of @mehtahansal and @RajkummarRao . Looking forward to see it on screen,” wrote Kashyap on Twitter.

Rajkumar Rao and Hansal Mehta have previously worked together in ‘Shahid’ and ‘Citylights’.
