South star Siddharth was embroiled in controversies by tweeting in the past. He had made an objectionable tweet about Badminton star Saina Nehwal, to which many people had also objected. The matter had reached the National Commission for Women, after which it was time to register an FIR against the actor. After the controversy, Siddharth had clarified that his words were being misinterpreted. Now the actor has written an apology to Saina Nehwal.

Siddharth's apology: Siddharth has shared his letter on Twitter. He writes- 'If a joke has to be explained, then that joke was not a good thing to start with. Sorry for the joke that didn't fit. I hope we will leave this behind and you will accept my letter. You will always be my champion.

The actor has also said in his apology that his words and humor had no intention of causing any harm to anyone. According to media reports, continuing his talk, he wrote, 'I am a staunch feminist supporter and my tweet was not for any gender and there was no intention to attack you in any way.'
