New Delhi: The first Test match after the global pandemic Coronavirus will be played between England and West Indies at Aegis Ball in Southampton from 8 July. The England and Wales Cricket Board has released the schedule of the three Tests of the home series against the West Indies on Tuesday. The three matches will be held at the Bio Secure (infection-free) venue. The audience will not be present in it.

The first match will be held at Aegis Ball in Southampton from 8-12 July, while the remaining two matches will be played at Old Trafford from 16 to 20 July and 24-28 July. The ECB has issued a statement saying that, West Indies team will come to England for the Test series a month in advance i.e. on June 9. The team will practice at the Old Trafford ground. He will be kept here for three weeks. During this time the players will spend some time in Quarantine. After this, the visiting team will reach Aegis Ball to play the first Test.

ECB Events Director Steve Elworthy said that our main objective is to provide a safe environment for players, match officials, venue staff and broadcasters. We are constantly in touch with the government and the medical team. This is the proposed schedule. It will be finalized only after the approval of the government. After the series against West Indies, England also have to play series with Pakistan, Australia and Ireland.
