NEW DELHI:  UP's Varanasi has become the first airport to enjoy ultrafast 5G service.

The launch of Airtel's 5G Plus service at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport was announced on Friday.
While they are in the terminals for arrival and departure, lounges, boarding gates, migration and immigration desks, security areas, baggage claim belts, parking areas, etc., passengers can use their mobile phones at lightning speeds.

All customers with 5G devices will be able to use Airtel 5G Plus at high speeds with their current data plans. According to a representative, the current Airtel 4G SIM is 5G capable, so changing the SIM is not necessary.

The other two airports with Airtel 5G Plus are the new terminals in Bangalore and Pune.

Varanasi was one of the first eight locations in the nation to receive the Airtel 5G Plus service, according to the telecom service provider. Benaras Hindu University (BHU), Ghatt Road, Adampur, Beniya Bagh Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Rajghat, Sarnath, Sigra, Thateri Bazaar, and a few other places are currently offering the services. To eventually make its services available throughout the city, Airtel is currently expanding its network.

Airtel users may now access ultrafast High-Definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, rapid photo uploading, and more while at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, according to Sovan Mukerjee, CEO, Bharti Airtel, Uttar Pradesh, who commented on the launch. We are currently expanding the network to make our services available throughout Varanasi. In Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, Varanasi, Panipat, and Gurugram, Airtel 5G Plus service is currently operational.
