Ahmedabad: In Deesa town of Banaskantha district, last night a car hit into a truck from behind due to which five people died. The deceased include a women and two children while two others got injured.

As per the reports, an official said The mishap occurred last night at Akhol cross-road on Bhildi Highway near Deesa when the car, with seven occupants, rammed into the rear side of the truck.

"Our investigations have revealed that both the vehicles were headed to Deesa from Bhildi. However, the truck driver suddenly stopped his vehicle near the cross-roads and started reversing it, which was not noticed by the car driver," police inspector D D Gohil, as per the reports said.

The police has filed a case against the driver who fled away from the spot after the incident.
