Expansion of air facilities from Bilaspur to Bhopal has started. The residents of the area are going to get the benefit of air facility between Bilaspur and Bhopal 4 days a week. The Airport Authority of India has given permission to fly between Bilaspur and Bhopal from June 5. Bilasa airport management has started its preparations. This is being said to be an important start with the expansion of the air facility.

Air facilities are going to be provided from Bilaspur to Bhopal four days a week. The plane is going to leave from Bilaspur to Bhopal on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from Bilasa Airport. The airline company and the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation can decide this. There is a flight to Bhopal from Bilasa airport at 11.30 am. According to the information received from Bilasa Airport Management, after the approval from the Union Civil Aviation Ministry, the schedule for the flight has also been presented. On June 3, the plane is going to take flight from Bhopal and reach Bilaspur.

The entire stay of one day is going to be at the airport itself. The flight will start from the airport for Bhopal at 11.30 am on June 5. According to the released time table, the plane is going to reach Bilasa airport at 3.45 pm after taking a flight from Bhopal. Can take a flight to Jabalpur at 4.15 pm. At present, domestic flight facilities from Bilaspur to Delhi Jabalpur and Delhi Prayagraj and Bilaspur are also being provided from Bilasa Airport. This facility is being provided by Alliance Air Company.

This work is necessary for Four C category: For the upgradation of Bilasa airport from 3 C to 4 C category, there is a need of land along with technical works in the airport. The airport still needs 270 acres of land for runway expansion. This land is currently in the possession of the army. For Chakarbhatha Bascant, the state government has also allotted farmers of 8 villages around Chakarbhatha, Arteri and its total 1173 acres of land to the Military Ministry. The military ministry has not yet started the construction of the basekant. The runway expansion work could not be completed until the army would get 270 acres of land. Runway expansion is necessary for the upgradation of Four C class airports. The airport management has planned to expand the runway from 1490 meters to 2885 meters.
