The guidelines issued earlier said that e-commerce companies can operate with full capacity from April 20 and can even sell non-essential items. In this regard, E-commerce companies were asked to get the necessary approvals for the movement of vehicles associated with delivery. This decision is very important because on Saturday some E-Commerce companies started taking bookings for other items besides food and medicines.
According to the revised directive issued by Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla on this matter on Sunday, the Ministry has removed this clause from the rules related to lockdown, which said that E-commerce companies and their use Vehicles can operate from April 20 with the necessary approvals.
For your information, let us tell you that the report released on Sunday in this regard by the Ministry of Home Affairs is very important because many organizations associated with retail shops had lodged their objection before the government in this regard. At the same time, during the first phase of lockdown (25 March-14 April), E-commerce companies were allowed to sell only essential commodities like food products and medicines. However, on 14 April Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the extension of the lockdown to May 3. However, from April 20, the government has allowed limited trade activities in areas where the risk of outbreak of coronaviruses is low. In this, e-commerce companies were also allowed to operate, but after the government's decision on Sunday, it has become clear that E-Commerce Platform cannot sell mobile, TV, clothes and other products till the lockdown is over.
