Yamunanagar: 2 lakh 57 thousand cusecs of water was released from Yamunanagar Hamanikund barrage in Haryana on Saturday. The water level of Yamuna is continuously rising due to continuous rain in the hills. The administration has issued an alert for people living in adjoining areas along the Yamuna. The state irrigation department has declared a high fruit and sent the information to the Delhi Irrigation Department.

The information says that after the next 72 hours, the Yamuna water will knock in Delhi. This may lead to flood water in the lower reaches of the Yamuna in Delhi. Right now the water level of Yamuna is 203 metres, which is just one meter below the danger mark. In Yamunanagar, the Yamuna river is running above the danger mark. The water level of the river Yamuna has crossed 2 lakh 55 thousand cusecs.

According to the Met department, heavy rain is expected in Delhi, Haryana, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir in the next 24 to 48 hours. In the last 24 hours, Ayanagar has recorded 11.7 MM, 8.7MM at Safdarjung, 7.8 MM in Palam and 9.4 MM in Lodhi Road during which wind speed is 10km/h. hr getting around.
