Bhopal: Heavy rains have rocked several states in the country amid corona infection. Meanwhile, the situation is very bad due to floods in Madhya Pradesh. So far, 24 persons have died in floods and related incidents in the state. Meanwhile, 1,250 villages have been affected by the floods. Heavy rains have caused heavy losses in Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Sheopur, Datia, Ashoknagar, Bhind, and Morena.

NDRF, SDRF, Air Force, and Army are engaged in rescuing the people trapped in the floods. So far 8,800 persons have been rescued. About 29,000 people had already been evacuated in view of the flood crisis in the state. At present, 5 columns of the Army are present in Morena, Shivpuri, Bhind, Sheopur, and Ashoknagar to save the persons. 8 units of NDRF are also deployed here. In addition, 3 Air Force helicopters, 29 teams of SDRF are deployed.

The flood in MP has taken a vicious turn. About 25,000 houses have been demolished so far and six bridges have been washed away or damaged so far in the strong flow of the river. State that the situation in Gwalior in the State has become uncontrolled due to maximum rainfall and water released from the dam. Army and Air Force are being assisted for rescue operations. The air force helicopter is rescuing the persons but the rescue operation is also facing problems due to maximum rainfall. The situation has worsened in hundreds of villages.
