Patna: On Tuesday, the death toll in Bihar has reached 19, as well as more than 63 lakh 60 people in 16 districts of the state have been affected. According to the Disaster Management Center, so far 19 people died due to floods in Bihar, out of which maximum 7 have died in Darbhanga district, 6 in Muzaffarpur, 4 in West Champaran and 2 in Siwan. According to this, 63 lakh 60 of 1152 panchayats of 120 blocks of 16 districts of the state, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Supaul, Kishanganj, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, East Champaran, West Champaran, Khagaria, Saran, Samastipur, Siwan, Madhubani, Madhepura and Saharsa districts. More than a thousand population has been affected by the floods. Out of 4 lakh, 40 thousand more people evacuated from here, more than 17 thousand people are spending their lives in 17 relief camps.

More than 1 thousand community kitchens have been arranged to provide food to those displaced due to floods. In Darbhanga district, more than 18 lakh 61 thousand people of 199 panchayats of 15 blocks have been affected by the floods. A total of 33 teams of NDRF and SDRF have been deployed for rescue and relief work in flood-affected districts. Due to floods in these districts, the Adhwara Group River, Lakhandei, Rato, Marha, Manusmara, Bagmati, Adhwara Group, Kamla Balan, Gandak, Budhi Gandak, Kadane, Noon, Via, Sikarhana, Lalbekiya, Dhanauti, Masan, Kosi, The water level of the Ganges, Kamla Balan, Kareh and Dhoons river has to rise.

According to the Water Resources Center, the Bagmati River was flowing above the crisis mark at Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga at Budhi Gandak River, Kamla Balan River at Madhubani, Adhwara River at Sitamarhi, Khiroi Darbhanga and Ghaghra Siwan on Tuesday.
