New Delhi: Due to heavy rains, the National capital Delhi is now facing the threat of floods. In the national capital, the Yamuna river is seen flowing one meter above the danger mark. The water level of Yamuna has been recorded at 206.60 meters at 5 am on Wednesday morning. After 40 years by the waves of Yamuna, the people of Delhi have been put in panic. The low lying areas are also still flooded due to the continuous rising waves in the Yamuna. So far 21 thousand people have been evacuated to safer places.

In Haryana, the water is being released from the Hatnikund barrage due to continuous rain in Haryana. The water level of Yamuna is also rising due to the release of water from the Hatnikund barrage. According to the official, the water released from the barrage is only cleaned and used as drinking water in Delhi.

According to information, 30 locations have been reported by the administrative authorities in the lower reaches of the capital and 53 boats have been deployed at these places. Emergency numbers have also been released. People living in Delhi can call 21210849, 22421656 if they have any trouble with the floods.
