New Delhi [India], Jan 27 (NT): Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday said that it is not very difficult to pull off the target set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enter India into first 50 in the ease of doing biz ranking.

FM Jaitley was addressing on the occasion of Investiture Ceremony 2018 and international Customs Day 2018 held by Central Board of Excise and Customs. instituted by the World Customs Organization, the International Customs Day 2018 is marked to recognize the role of custom officials and agencies.

It focuses on the working conditions and challenges that customs officers face during their jobs responsibilities. This year's theme was "A Secure Business Environment for Economic Development". On this occasion, the minister also launched the two IT tools, ICE-TAB and ICE-TRAK to further smooth the progress of the trade and businesses and to further improve the ease of doing business climate.

The IT tool 'ICETRAK' will be a one-stop Portal for effective communication between trade and the Department of Customs & Central Excise. Union Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla was also present on the occasion. Arun Jaitley said that GST has stabilized much faster in India as compared to other countries.
