Lucknow: Recently, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have launched the third phase of state government-run 'Mission Shakti' for the safety, dignity, and self-reliance of women and girls in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, a day before Raksha Bandhan. Let me tell all of you that this campaign for the third phase of 'Mission Shakti' is scheduled to continue till 31st December 2021.
Addressing the third phase of 'Mission Shakti' celebrations at Indira Gandhi Foundation in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Sitharaman appreciated the campaign as the Chief Guest. She said, "When there is encouragement, when there is an opportunity, the woman does not hesitate to join it, there is no dearth of results after joining, that is the specialty of the woman.''
Appreciating the efforts of Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi, the Finance Minister said, "It is only by the stay of such an energetic Chief Minister that the state can move forward on the path of progress. I am confident that Uttar Pradesh will move forward on the path of rapid progress and women will also play an important role in it. In Uttar Pradesh, the future of women is very bright when such a Chief Minister is there. I extend my warm congratulations to the Chief Minister for his constant efforts to create better law and order in Uttar Pradesh and to protect the woman and for the overall development.''
Apart from this, the Finance Minister also said, 'Where it is not possible to reach a bank in every village, but Uttar Pradesh is the only state where the Chief Minister of the North has taken forward an important idea by making women a bank friend, posting it in every village.' Along with this, Nirmala Sitharaman also said, 'I request all the women self-help groups that the central government gives money for the storage of whatever production is there in your village, make such storage space in your villages in which you can store the production and sell it when you get more profit. With this, a new business will come into your hands and you can earn more profit.'
