New Delhi: In the Lok Sabha today, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget for the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Without debate, the lower house adopted the resolution to clear the J&K budget on the same day it was tabled. She also presented in the lower house supplemental demands for grants, demands for grants, and demands for excess grants for the union territory.

The Centre would also introduce the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2022, for debate in both chambers of Parliament, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.

In the meantime, opposition parties such as the Congress, the CPM, the RSP, and the YSRCP filed an adjournment motion in the house. They urged that the education of Indian students who had been evacuated from Ukraine's turmoil be discussed.

Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister, has told students returning from Ukraine that the government will make all necessary efforts to ensure that their education is not disrupted.

"Operation Ganga took place under PM Modi's guidance," Pradhan remarked. After we've brought them here, the government will take care of making the necessary preparations for them to become doctors. This is the moment to help them recover from their shock and look after them. We've made a commitment to them."
