The auspicious day of Diwali is near and the five long festival starts from Dhanteras which will be observed on 17th October and followed by Diwali on 19th October, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj. As the Diwali comes all become carefree about diet. Moreover, the festival brings with the kit happiness of meeting and greeting with the loved ones, but somewhere it also makes us guilty binging on festive sweets and savouries. The festive atmosphere is such that you cannot afford to miss out on grand treats, only converting into weight gain, calories and sugar worries. Why not gift yourself a healthy festive season and celebrate a guilt-free Diwali? All you need to do is to follow these tips to have an enjoyable Diwali.

Consume less sweet

Small portions fit in small plates; therefore, make sure that the quantity you intake of food consume along with the daily calorie intake. Always try to avoid a second helping of your favourites.

Keep yourself hydrated

Drink lots of water and take juices like coconut water, and low-calorie smoothies. Keep water infused lime, mint, berries, cucumber or any other fruit of your choice and sip through the day. This will help keep your metabolism going and replenish your system.

Everybody loves to grab sweet on the festive season. But here you should pay a little attention that takes small bites of sweets and relish the taste instead of just having it a whole in your mouth.
