New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced that Delhi will now be recognized as a food hub. Chandni Chowk and Majoon Ka Tila located in Delhi will be developed as food hubs in the first phase. This will provide employment opportunities. It will also be good for business and the economy. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Delhi is considered as Foot Capital of India. The people of Delhi are very fond of eating and feeding. Every type of food is available in Delhi. South Indian, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, and any type of food are available in Delhi.
CM Kejriwal said that although Delhi is called the Food Capital of India, now a plan has been made to take this concept properly and further. All the food hubs of Delhi will be developed. There are someplace where Tibetan food is good and some Chinese food is good, apart from this, there are many places where all kinds of food are available. We plan to develop these food hubs.
He said that first of all the infrastructure of these food hubs i.e. electricity, road and water system will be fixed. Apart from this, complete arrangements will be made for food safety in these food hubs. Food safety and hygiene will be strictly followed. Then the branding of that food hub will be done in the country and the world so that people from the country and the world can come there. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that in the first phase, as a pilot project, we are going to work on two food hubs, Majnu Ka Tila and Chandni Chowk. Majnu Ka Tila is a very special spot for the students of Delhi and is popular for Asian cuisine. There is a lot like this in Chandni Chowk too, so it will be made a food hub.
