Kochi: On Sunday, in a shocking turn of events, police in Kerala's Kochi arrested a 23-year-old woman for allegedly sexually abusing a 9-year-old minor boy. Identified as one Raji, a resident of Kadappara near Malayattoor, the woman was booked on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim's mother who is an acquaintance of the accused. Written complaint was registered on January 12, the boy's mother told officials with the Kalady police that the accused sexually abused her son multiple times. Following the complaint, the boy narrated his ordeal while speaking with a counselor.
While, the accused's husband claimed that the allegations against his wife are baseless. It is a cooked up story out of a personal grudge over "unsettled financial" debts between my wife and the boy's mother, he added. Meanwhile, officials probing the matter said that they are only concerned with the 'sexual abuse' part of the complaint and not the financial dispute between the boy's mother and the accused woman.
