Mathura: Four policemen, including the in-charge of the concerned police post, have been suspended for indecent assault and assault by a journalist in Mathura district of UP. Senior Superintendent of Police Shalabh Mathur said that on receiving negative reports against outpost incharge Rajendra Singh and Deputy Inspector Yashpal Singh, Sepoy Dharmendra Kumar and Rohit Kumar, the four were also allowed to transfer their non-zones with immediate effect. Instructions have been issued to send the DGP.

It may be mentioned that Shyam Joshi, a local newspaper journalist, ended work on Tuesday night when he was coming back home from his bike when he saw the road jammed in the Ading police post area and urged the policemen to remove the jeep parked in the middle of the road.

The policemen began to abuse him. The scuffle broke out and Shyam Joshi was taken to the police station where he was first brought to Govardhan's Community Health Centre for treatment when his condition worsened, but was admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
