External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj arrived in Hanoi on a three day visit to Vietnam.On her visit to Vietnam, Sushma Swaraj was received by Amb P. Harish, Indian children who greeted the Minister with flowers, and  senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on 26 August .

In his brief interview taken by the leading news agency ANI she said, “If a 'Pravasi Bharatiya' gets stuck anywhere in world, they are confident that govt will save them. Relief is just 1 tweet away. What was never a priority in embassies, has become top priority now. PM has made overseas Indians proud &MEA made them confident”,  EAM Swaraj in lauded in Vietnam the quichk responses made by Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during her tenure.

Taking to the micro-blogging website Twitter EAM spoke person Raveeesh Kumar tweeted, “A strategic partner and an important friend in ASEAN ! EAM @SushmaSwaraj arrives in Hanoi, Vietnam to a warm welcome. Two days of packed programme on 27-28 August during EAM's first leg of the two-country visit to South East Asia”.

He had further said , “Adding dynamism to our Act East policy! To continue our high level engagement with South East Asian countries, EAM @SushmaSwaraj emplanes for five-days visit to Vietnam and Cambodia”.
