Jaipur: The Chaliswa was not celebrated this time in remembrance of Hazrat Imam Hussain Radi Allah Taala Anhos on the 20th of the second month of the year. On this day, processions were also carried out by the Shia community in Jaipur, but for the first time in 70 years, Hazrat Imam Hussein's 40th procession is not being carried out due to corona pandemic.

The Shia people have decided people should not be gathered in view of the pandemic. The procession started from the Subhash Chowk area of Jaipur and ended at the Karbala Dargah in Ramgarh through various routes, including thousands of people who believed in Hazrat Imam Hussein. In view of the threat of corona, it has been decided not to carry out any procession from Shia society.

Syed Zafar Abbas Takawi, head of the Shiite Jama Masjid Committee, said that people of Shia society are being urged to celebrate the festival at home. The government has urged them to celebrate the festival at home. People from Shia society have assured the police that no procession will be carried out on Thursday.
