Srinagar: For the first time in the history of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP's Yuva Morcha Wing (BJYM) took out a mega bike rally on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas from Ghanta Ghar in Lalchowk, which was attended by more than 300 bikers. The rally was flagged off by BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh. The rally will conclude after participating in the Victory Day celebrations on July 26 at the Kargil War Memorial. All those who participated in the rally were BJP Yuva Morcha workers who had come here from different states of the country to join the rally.

According to them, they had come here due to the spirit of patriotism and now from here they will go to Kargil and go to the same battlefield to salute the sacrifices of the martyrs of the war. According to a biker, the politicians of Jammu and Kashmir had said at the time of abrogation of Article 370 that no one will raise the tricolour here and they had come here to make it clear that there are those who raise the tricolour in every corner of the country. Senior BJP leader Tarun Chugh, while addressing the participants of the gathering, attacked the previous governments of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the Abdullah and Mufti families, saying they have left no stone unturned to make this capital the capital of terrorism instead of tourism. According to him, it is becoming the tourism capital and the developed capital again with the efforts of the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chugh hit out at Mehbooba Mufti over her statement that she had made at a gathering in Srinagar before the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. In this house, Mehbooba had said that if Article 370 is removed, there will be no one to raise the tricolour here. He said that here today Mehbooba Mufti should see that everyone is holding the tricolour in his hand and all this has been possible because of Narendra Modi.
